Devkinandan Thakur, a prominent Hindu leader, stated that if the Bangladesh government cannot protect Hindus, it should consider granting them a separate Hindu state, or “Hindu Rashtra.” Thakur’s comments come amid increasing violence and persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh, with reports of numerous attacks and forced conversions. He emphasized the need for the government to take concrete steps to ensure the safety and security of the Hindu minority.
