The Umiya temple, which is under construction at Jaspur on the SG Highway in Ahmedabad, is expected to establish the identity of India and Sanatan Dharma globally, according to Union Minister of State for Communications, Devusinh Chauhan. The temple is considered the highest religious place of the Kadva Patidar community in Gujarat. The Vishv Umiya Foundation, which is organizing the construction, plans for the temple to be a symbol of Sanatan Dharma. In addition to the temple, the campus will also house centers of education, employment, health, sports, and cultural and business development, as well as hostels. The construction is being funded through social funds.
