In **Madhya Pradesh**, during excavation conducted by the **Archaeological Survey of India (ASI)**, images of Hindu deities were reportedly discovered in a pillar within the complex of the **Bhojshala temple-Kamal Maula mosque** in **Dhar district**. These images include **Lord Krishna**, **Lord Ram**, **Lord Parashuram**, and **Shiva**. The pillar is situated in front of the presiding deity of the **Vagdevi (Goddess Saraswati)** shrine built inside the Bhojshala temple complex. Over **1,000 remains of historical significance** have also been unearthed during the excavation process. The site’s nature and character have been a subject of debate between Hindus and Muslims, with Hindus considering it a temple dedicated to Goddess Vagdevi and Muslims viewing it as the site of the Kamal Maula mosque.
