Members of the Hindu community in Sindh, Pakistan staged a protest against the illegal occupation of six acres of land belonging to a historic Shiv temple in Hyderabad city. The protest took place in Tando Jam town, about 185 kilometers from Karachi.
Protesters, including women and children, demanded urgent action against builders from the Kashkheli community, who allegedly blocked access points to the temple, making it difficult for worshippers to hold their weekly prayers. The demonstration was organized by the Pakistan Dalit Ittehad (PDI), an organization advocating for Hindu community rights.
Community leaders expressed frustration over inaction by authorities, despite submitting written complaints to the police and district administration. They warned that if the issue remains unresolved, protests will escalate to Hyderabad city, and legal action will be pursued.
