The Radha Govind Bhakti Yog Mandir, the first Hindu temple near Kraków, Poland, officially opened in Brzegi after years of construction beginning in 2017. Built by the Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat, it mirrors the Radha Madhav Dham temple in Austin, Texas, and features a golden cupola, altar, meditation rooms, library, shop, and a large garden. The inauguration included traditional rituals like wall washing with holy water, a fire ceremony, and Deity installation. The temple also houses an ashram with guest accommodations, originally opened in 2006. Its mission extends beyond worship—it aims to promote Indian culture and spirituality. The opening ceremony was attended by local dignitaries and India’s ambassador, reflecting growing Indo-Polish ties. With nearly 8,000 Indians receiving residence permits in Poland last year, the temple serves a rising Hindu population. It joins a modest network of Hindu temples in Poland, the oldest dating back to 1980.
