The Hindu community and traders in Dera Murad Jamali held a protest against the recent kidnapping of a girl named Priya Kumari, demanding her immediate recovery. They criticized the Sindh government for its inefficiency in recovering Ms. Kumari, who was abducted from Sukkur.
The protesters, holding placards, voiced their concerns about the routine abduction of innocent children in Sindh and the deteriorating security situation for religious minorities. The rally was led by senior Hindu community leaders Mukhi Manak Lal and Seth Tara Chand, and was attended by people from all walks of life, including traders’ representative Taj Baloch, JI’s youth wing activist Liaqat Ali Chakar, president of the wholesale market Mir Jan Mengal, Molana Nawabuddin Domki, Khan Jan Bangulazi, and Harpal Das.
They urged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to take immediate action to ensure Ms. Kumari’s recovery and provide justice to the minority community. They warned of nationwide protests if their demands were not met.
