Construction Completed on New Hindu Temple iin Pennsylvania

A new Hindu temple named Shanti Mandir has been completed near Danville in Montour County, Pennsylvania. The temple, whose name means “peace temple,” was built to serve the growing Hindu community in the region, which previously lacked a nearby place of worship. Board members expressed gratitude for the community’s support and emphasized the temple’s goals of fostering spirituality, education, and cultural unity. Local businesses contributed to the project, and future plans aim to keep operations community-centered. The grand inauguration is scheduled for the upcoming weekend, with events planned for both Saturday and Sunday.
