The incident occurred late at night, and police have detained two suspects after tracking them through CCTV footage. The local BJP leader accused the corporator and others of repeated attacks on the temple over the past five years. Despite regular police patrolling, the temple has been targeted multiple times, with the latest incident completely destroying the idol.
