During the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) meeting at the Mahakumbh, seers demanded the removal of government control over temples and the return of holy sites to Hindus. They argued that temple donations are currently redirected to government accounts, amounting to ₹1.86 lakh crore. Seers also expressed concerns over the declining Hindu birth rate and urged families to have at least three children. The gathering welcomed the government’s decision to regulate the Waqf Board’s powers and demanded the return of religious sites where evidence of temples exists.
