Conservative MP Bob Blackman, re-elected in the recent UK general election, took his oath of office by swearing on both the Bible and the ‘Bhagavad Gita’. Despite not being of Indian origin, Blackman, who represents the Harrow East constituency, pledged allegiance to His Majesty King Charles using the King James Bible and the Bhagavad Gita.
