Recruit Hindus, don’t stop Ghazwa-e-Hind plan: Another terror plot busted in UP

An investigation by the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has uncovered a Pakistan-linked terror module operating in Meerut that recruited Hindu youths to bypass security scrutiny and carry out reconnaissance of sensitive defense and religious locations. The key accused, Shakib, allegedly acted on instructions from handlers in Pakistan and a Dubai-based coordinator to lure individuals named Vikas and Lokesh with money and radicalized content, assigning them Muslim aliases to hide their identities within the cell. These recruits were tasked with filming defense installations and the movements of prominent Hindu leaders, sending the footage back to overseas handlers in exchange for payments. The ATS has arrested multiple suspects, including Shakib and his recruits, as they probe a wider network involving social media radicalization and plans to disrupt national infrastructure.
