A UK-based organization, Secular Bangladesh Movement, has written to Tulsi Gabbard, the US Director of National Intelligence, urging her to intervene in the release of ISKCON monk Chinmoy Krishna Das, who has been imprisoned in Bangladesh since November 25 last year on charges of sedition. The letter appeals to Gabbard to use her platform to demand Das’s release and to pressure the Bangladeshi government to stop the persecution of Hindus. The organization has also called for international intervention to protect the rights of Hindus in Bangladesh.
