**Attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh: A Major Concern**

According to **CNN-News18**, attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh have escalated, raising serious concerns for the Indian government and other nations. Since January 2013, nearly 4,000 attacks have targeted the Hindu community in Bangladesh. These assaults are deliberate, systematic, and orchestrated. Here are key points:

1. **Targeted Attacks**: At least 97 places within the Hindu community have been attacked during the ongoing political unrest. These include an ISKCON temple, a Kali Mandir, and Hindu homes.

2. **Murder and Vandalism**: Hindu councillor Haradhan Roy was murdered by protesters. The home of celebrated musician Rahul Ananda was looted and torched. Radicals have also damaged the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre and Bangabandhu Memorial Museum.

3. **Motivations**: The attacks stem from a combination of factors. First, Hindus are perceived as close to former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina due to her proximity to India. Second, Islamist groups exploit the perception that Indian policies are anti-Muslim.

4. **State Inaction**: State agencies’ inaction has allowed these attacks to persist. The deliberate violence serves an agenda, potentially for negotiations or international attention.

5. **Saudi Influence**: Saudi money supporting radical Islam exacerbates the situation, and the violence is likely to continue.

The situation demands vigilance and international attention to protect minorities in Bangladesh.
