At the 4th Annual Hindu Day of Advocacy on Capitol Hill, over 100 Hindu delegates from 17 U.S. states met with lawmakers to spotlight rising concerns about safety and religious freedom. The event, hosted by the Coalition of Hindus of North America (CoHNA), emphasized increasing attacks on Hindu temples, bullying of Hindu students, and institutional indifference toward Hinduphobia. Lawmakers from both parties expressed shock and support, with several calling for stronger protections and awareness. Keynote speaker Dr. Lee Jussim presented research showing how caste-related narratives can fuel bias against Hindus. Human rights activist Richard Benkin warned of worsening persecution in Bangladesh, while filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri highlighted historical Hindu suffering. Student testimonies revealed hostility on campuses, and political leaders shared personal experiences of discrimination. The event underscored the urgent need for advocacy, education, and policy action to safeguard Hindu identity and religious liberty in the U.S.
