Cricket Boycott Battle: Why Pakistan’s Islamist Clarity Beats Bharat’s Mercantile Muddlers

The article argues that India should take a much tougher stance toward Pakistan in cricket and international sports. It claims Pakistan consistently presents itself as a united Islamic state and uses politics and religion to shape its global narrative, while India continues to maintain economic and sporting ties for commercial reasons, especially through cricket tournaments. According to the author, this approach weakens India’s position and allows Pakistan to appear as an equal rival despite accusations of supporting terrorism. The piece calls for stronger measures such as fully boycotting cricket matches with Pakistan and pushing for its isolation in global sports and diplomacy to send a clearer political message.
