On July 24, 2025, over 100 Hindu delegates from 17 U.S. states gathered on Capitol Hill for CoHNA’s fourth annual advocacy event, marking its five-year anniversary. The event aimed to highlight the Hindu community’s contributions and address rising anti-Hindu hate, including temple attacks, campus bullying, and workplace bias. More than 25 lawmakers attended, expressing bipartisan support and concern over religious discrimination. Rep. Suhas Subramanyam emphasized pride in Hindu heritage, while Rep. Shri Thanedar condemned global Hindu persecution, citing attacks in Bangladesh and the U.S.. Keynote speaker Dr. Lee Jussim presented research showing how caste narratives fuel bias against Hindus. Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri spotlighted historical atrocities through his film The Bengal Files. The event also featured student testimonies and solemn tributes to victims of recent violence. CoHNA’s initiative underscored the need for continued advocacy, education, and legislative action to protect Hindu rights and promote pluralism in America.
