An Islamist attacked the ISKCON Radha Govinda temple in Shobharampur, Faridpur district, Bangladesh on February 7, 2024. The attacker entered the temple complex as a visitor and began using abusive language towards the devotees. He then took a stick from the garden and started running, breaking the Murti of Maa Saraswati outside the main temple. He then ran towards the main temple – Radha Govinda temple. The devotees managed to catch the attacker and tied him to a tree in the garden. The police were informed and the attacker was handed over to them. A case has been started against the accused under the relevant sections.
