Padmashri Anuradha Paudwal, an Indian playback singer, presented “The Works of Adi Shankaracharya”, a music series of scriptures by the philosopher of Sanatan Dharma, at the House of Commons in the British Parliament. This event marked the first time an Indian presented the teachings of Adi Shankaracharya at the British Parliament. The event also saw the release of a cross-border music collaboration between India and Bangladesh.
Anuradha Paudwal’s mission is to familiarize the world with Sanatan Dharma, a philosophy that promotes harmony and unity among diverse societies. The event was attended by notable figures including Ms Seema Malhotra, MP of the British Parliament, and Lord Tariq Ahmad of Wimbledon, Minister of State for Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, United Nations and the Commonwealth.
Paudwal unveiled her music series, which encapsulates the teachings of Adi Shankaracharya, a revered philosopher who advocated for a purist Vedic way of life. She emphasized that Sanatan Dharma is a timeless and universal philosophy that promotes individual strength, harmony, and inclusivity.
With a career spanning over 50 years, Paudwal has sung more than 10,000 songs in over 15 languages and released 1,500 bhajan albums. Her efforts to promote Sanatan Dharma are an extension of her lifelong dedication to uplifting and inspiring others through her art. She continues to advocate for a world where ancient wisdom and modern living coexist in harmony.
