The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has called the acquittal of the 2006 Nanded blast accused a “tight slap” on the Congress. The VHP demanded an apology from the Congress, claiming the party tried to label Hindus as terrorists. The case involved an explosion at the home of an alleged RSS worker, which killed his son and a VHP activist. The court acquitted all nine surviving accused, stating the prosecution failed to prove it was a bomb blast.
