Just before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the United States, White House officials met with pro-Khalistan Sikh activists. The meeting, organized by the National Security Council, included representatives from the American Sikh Caucus Committee, the Sikh Coalition, and the Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund. The officials assured the activists of protection from any transnational aggression while on U.S. soil.
