The article discusses the results of the 2024 UK elections in Leicester East. The Conservative candidate, **Shivani Raja**, has won the elections. This victory is significant as it marks the first time in 37 years that a non-Labour candidate has won in Leicester East. Shivani Raja’s win is a big win for the conservatives in Leicester East. She was up against Rajesh Agrawal, the Indore-born former Deputy Mayor of London for Business. This election result is part of a broader trend in the 2024 UK elections.
